This lamp plays with the stereotypes of our daily lives which are imprinted in our minds. By clever use of a high power led, lamp becomes shade, and the impossible becomes possible.

The bulb is hand-blown from heat resistant Pyrex glass, safe to the touch with no sharp edges.

Available as a standard bulb size, and globe size ( 12 cm diameter ) called Ceci XL.

Dan Yeffet and Lucie Koldova have designed Shadows, a collection of pendant lamps for the Czech lighting manufacturer BROKIS.

Description from the designers:

Shadow collection is our new interpretation for our appreciated and timeless ‘atelier’ light shades, homage.

The collection consists of 4 pieces and has 4 different types of glass shades which slide over the wooden neck. The collection is based on hidden light source, a warm LED spot.

Korean designer Seung Yong Song has created the Dami series of furniture and lighting.

Description from the designer:

The ‘Dami’ is named from Korean verb means ‘put in’.

Dami series are consist of basket forms and covers and available for different and various usage depending on form and size. It shows visual beauty as well as the structure of Korean traditional grille which has light and sturdy durability, and the combination of new eco-friendly materials called Valchromat and CNC processing technique make it possible to materialize modern objet with traditional beauty.

Admired at San Francisco's Atelier Crenn, a small outpost of forward-looking gastronomy on Fillmore Street: Incandescent light sculptures by Portland, OR-based glass artist Dylan Kehde Roelofs.

Good Boy and Good Puppy Lamp

Two special lamps will have you talking about them inclusively at the dog park – the Pooping Dog Lamps from UK artist Whatshisname. It’s really a conversation starter duo. There is a bigger black dog and a smaller one so which ever you’d choose,you still got one pooping dog in your living room. The fun part is that stepping on a dog poop can now be useful – that’s how you turn on and off the light. You can order them on the designer’s page, because the Good Dog and Good Puppy lamps will never ask for attention, but demand it! Decide if you find it offensive or not, but know that “both lamps were supposed to be part of London’s the Art Below exhibition on London Underground stations.
